- Public ownership does not necessarily mean protection. Lough Neagh needs to be protected and public ownership does not mean that natural resources and space are protected. Lough Neagh needs to be protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it is currently in a bad way ecologically and environmentally.
