- On question: The income tax personal allowance should be increased from £12,570 to £25,000 - We are committed to a progressive taxation system where people earn enough money to live and to contribute to the functioning of society. We would support increasing taxes for those most able to pay. We believe society works best when everyone feels they have a stake in it. For that reason we believe in making a positive argument for tax as a public good. On question: Zero hours contracts should be banned - We support flexible working options for those workers that benefit but we do not support zero hour contracts that are open to abuse by employers.
